Albert Lopez

HELLO!  My name is Albert Lopez, and I鈥檓 from a small, beautiful town in Southern California. My educational path has been anything but boring鈥擨 started off at a few community colleges where I earned Associate degrees in Administration of Justice and Fire Technology, plus a Certificate in Auto Technology. From there, I got my Bachelor鈥檚 in Kinesiology (with a focus on fitness) and a Master鈥檚 in College Counseling and Student Services. Right now, I鈥檓 back in school at Mt. 黑料导航 studying Communications鈥攂ecause learning never really stops for me.

I鈥檓 into all kinds of things鈥攐utdoor adventures, health, fitness, sports, entertainment (tv/film/radio), photography/videography, ham radio, and drones. I鈥檓 also passionate about finding ways to help, support, and inspire others.

On campus, I鈥檝e been actively involved in several clubs and programs, including the EAGLES Club, Art Club, Radio/Podcast/Voiceover Club, Astronomy Club, and Sociology Club. I鈥檝e also taken part in the Activities Committee, WOCAN/MOCAN, and the LEAD program.

Overall, I鈥檓 someone who lives by strong values and is always looking for ways to grow, learn, and make a positive impact.

My roots trace back to the Americas and Spanish regions, and I鈥檓 proud to be reconnecting with my Indigenous background. I鈥檓 especially excited to be part of Mt. 黑料导航鈥檚 First Peoples Native Center team, where I get to help build community, learn more about the land and our traditions, and share that with others.

Fun facts?
I鈥檓 currently serving as the AS Vice President, and I鈥檓 one of the voices you might hear on Mt. 黑料导航鈥檚 radio station, FRED FM. Lately, I鈥檝e been focused on helping spread awareness about the Native Center, supporting students however I can, and doing my part to create a space where people feel seen, supported, and inspired.
