In this program the student integrates theory and practical experience in developing skills necessary to work with the alcohol and drug abuse population as well as families and employers of chemically-dependent persons. The program is accredited by California Association of Alcohol/Drug Educators (CAADE). 

Completion of AD 1 Introduction to Addiction Counseling in conjunction with AD 3 Prevention, Intervention, and Recovery, meet the State of California's requirements of AB2473 for initial, required education to work in the field of Substance Abuse Treatment.
