What is Distance Learning?

Is Distance Learning for me?

Distance Learning offers several benefits, but it certainly isn't for everyone. If you're interested in Distance Learning, but not quite sure if it would be good for you then we recommend taking our  self-assessment, and maybe checking out our Technical Requirements page for additional information regarding requirements to take a Distance Learning course at Mt. 黑料导航.

Technical Requirements for Distance Learning

Since Distance Learning courses are primarily online, you need to make sure your system meets the minimum requirements. Please check out our Technical Requirements page to get a better idea of what you will need in order to participate in a Distance Learning class.

What Distance Learning Classes are Offered at Mt. 黑料导航?

Check the current Class Search Option 3 Extended Search for what鈥檚 offered. Also, here鈥檚 a list of certificates (coming soon) that can be offered online or hybrid.

How do I register for a Distance Learning class?

Registration for an online class is the same process as registering for a traditional, face-to-face class. Follow these steps to register.

How do I access my Distance Learning course?

Follow these instructions:

1. Visit the Mt. 黑料导航 Portal at www.mtsac.edu/portal
2. Click on the "Canvas" tab at the top
3. Click on the button that says "Log into Mt. 黑料导航 Canvas"

Once in Canvas, you will arrive at your Dashboard. From there you will see the courses you are enrolled in, they will look like tiles. Clicking on a tile will take you into that respective course. If you don't see any of the tiles then most likely your professor hasn't "published" the course yet. Once they do, you will be able to access the course. Please contact them if you have any questions.
