Transfer Resources for Undocumented Students

All students regardless of their immigration status may apply to transfer to a four-year university!
We understand that navigating the transfer process as an undocumented student may be challenging 鈥� but you do not have to do it alone.
The Transfer & Completion Center team,  our Mt. 黑料导航 community, and university partners are here to support you achieve your transfer goals.  

The resources below are available to help you prepare, plan, and achieve your transfer goals.

    • University of California (UC)

      The University of California is committed to ensuring all students can pursue and attain a world-class UC education.  Each UC campus has staff and faculty members who can assist undocumented students both on and off campus. Learn more about the .

    • California State University (CSU)

      The California State University is deeply committed to ensuring academic opportunities are available to all students, regardless of citizenship status.

    • HBCUs & Private Universities 

      Historically Black Colleges and Universities
      Through the , eligible undocumented students who transfer to a partnered HBCU may be awarded up to $5,000 .
      Eligibility requirements:

      • Complete an Associate Degree for Transfer
      • Demonstrate unmet financial need 
      • Intend to return to California after graduating from an eligible HBCU 

       

      Private Universities
      Financial Assistance at eligible Private Universities may be available for undocumented students who meet California Dream Act requirements. Undocumented Mt. 黑料导航 alumni have successfully transferred and received financial aid at Private Universities. These universities include but are not limited to:

    • AB 540 NonResident Tuition Exemption at the four-year Public University

      California Nonresident Tuition Exemption, AB 540,  exempts certain students, including undocumented immigrants, from paying nonresident tuition at California Public Colleges and Universities. 
      Students eligible for AB540 who are transferring must submit a new request (and documentation if required) to each campus they are admitted to and are considering. Each university has its own process for submitting forms, please work closely with each campus's Admissions Office. Each campus's respective Undocumented Student 黑料导航 can provide support! 

    • MT. 黑料导航 DREAM 黑料导航

      The Mt. 黑料导航 DREAM 黑料导航 provides a wide range of educational and personal services meant to support the needs of undocumented students, inside and outside the classroom. Services include but are not limited to:
