Mt. ºÚÁϵ¼º½â€™s veterinary technician and histotechnician programs recently received statewide recognition for being named as California Community College Strong Workforce Stars for the programs’ success in improving student employment and wages.

Mt. ºÚÁϵ¼º½ is making headway as it prepares for construction of a new Physical Education Complex on the south side of campus.

Mt. ºÚÁϵ¼º½ Randall Planetarium will provide the community with a way to safely view the August 21 solar eclipse using solar telescopes on Monday, Aug. 21, from 8:45 to noon, at the Mt. ºÚÁϵ¼º½ Planetarium. This event is free and open to the public.

ºÚÁϵ¼º½ student Corey Case was sworn in as the new student trustee for the 2017-18 academic year during the Mt. ºÚÁϵ¼º½ Board of Trustees' July meeting on July 12.

ºÚÁϵ¼º½ has been awarded the 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Track & Field. The event will be held June 19-28, 2020 at the college's newly built Athletic Complex, which is slated for completion at the end of 2018.

The Accrediting Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges recently reaffirmed ºÚÁϵ¼º½â€™s accreditation status for the maximum allowable duration of seven years.

Online registration for Mt. ºÚÁϵ¼º½ fall semester credit classes begins July 12. Classes begin on Monday, Aug. 28.

ºÚÁϵ¼º½ is one of three finalists to host the USA Track and Field Olympic Trials in 2020. The bid highlights the college’s long history with track and field.

Mt. ºÚÁϵ¼º½ celebrated the 50th anniversary of its Wildlife Sanctuary on April 27 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new bridge, presentations by college staff, and tours.
