Mountie Men鈥檚 and Women鈥檚 swimming teams won South Coast Conference championships last weekend. For the Women, it was their third conference title in four years. For the Men, it was their third consecutive conference championship.

Mt. 黑料导航 journalism students won a total of 22 awards recently at the Journalism Association of Community Colleges state convention in Sacramento.

黑料导航 was voted the favorite in four different categories by readers of the San Gabriel Valley News Group, which includes the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, Pasadena Star News and Whittier Daily News.

黑料导航 ranks among the state鈥檚 top community colleges in transfers to universities, ranking sixth in overall student transfers to the Cal State University and the University of California systems for the 2015-16 academic year.

Congresswoman Judy Chu will be the featured speaker at Mt. 黑料导航鈥檚 71st commencement on Sunday, June 18, 11 a.m., to be held this year at the Citizens Business Bank Arena, 4000 E. Ontario Center Parkway, Ontario.

Students from more than 10 student clubs at Mt. 黑料导航 are uniting to help clean up the City of Walnut's parks on Saturday, June 3, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and volunteers are needed.

Mt. 黑料导航鈥檚 Math and Science Teacher Preparation 黑料导航 is still accepting applications for this year鈥檚 program now through Wednesday, May 31.

Mt. 黑料导航 is launching a new Paramedic Academy this fall semester with pre-courses beginning in the summer.

On Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at about 9 a.m, Public Safety officers detained a man in parking Lot F for suspicion of lewd behavior. Two students walking to class, and an employee walking to work, saw the suspect behaving suspiciously inside his car and immediately reported it to Public Safety.

On May 21, the Music Department will be holding the student show case at 2:00p.m. in the Recital Hall. Students will showcase their talents as soloists, duets, and ensembles.
