Photos: Music Department鈥檚 Performance Highlights

January 23, 2020 - 11:09 AM
Student photographers William Deatherage and Charles Tran, working for the Marketing & Communications Department, attended a number of performing arts events as the semester came to a close, capturing images of their first public performances of the year.

Held at the Feddersen Recital Hall, the Chamber Winds Concert offered an exploratory
evening into the world of chamber music.
Organized and directed by Dr. Karen Marston, the event featured stellar musicianship.
Pristine flute-playing coupled with arpeggiated classical guitar echoed through the
room as Juan Ortiz and Brian Edwards reinterpreted Dans les ruined d鈥檜ne abbaye, an 18th century piece.
The high brass ensemble built a triumphant journey with Procession of the Nobles.

Finally, the percussion ensemble performed an epic end to the night with Fanfare for Percussion, a pounding arrangement featuring impressive technique.
